Overview

St. Martinus University Faculty of Medicine in Curaçao needed more than ads. We worked as its international marketing and admissions arm: rebuilt the positioning, built channel partnerships with institutions that refer students, and stood up an admissions desk that talks to students and parents in their own language.

About St. Martinus University

St. Martinus University Faculty of Medicine is a medical school in Curaçao. Its MD programme is built around the path to US licensing and residency, and it recruits students from India, the United States and other markets.

The university runs an India admissions push from Hyderabad, where families weigh an international MD against the competition for medical seats at home.

The problem

Almost no visibility and no clear position

Few prospective students or parents knew the university, and those who did were unsure what it stood for. It risked being seen as a local option rather than an international medical school with a US pathway.

Leads without a route to admission

Campaigns produced enquiries, but there was no defined admissions flow, no tracking from lead source to admission, and no feedback loop between marketing and the admissions team.

Too much weight on a few channels

Paid social carried most of the lead volume, and single-city events were costly for the turnout they drew. Admissions needed more channels that bring in serious applicants.

What we did

Build the positioning

We defined the university as an international medical school with a clear path from classroom to US clinical training and residency, and built content around faculty, students and outcomes.

  • International positioning, not a local alternative
  • Faculty, student and alumni stories as proof

Take visibility from near zero

We ran social campaigns, webinars and ask-me-anything sessions, shifting budget to the platforms that performed. Instagram produced the large majority of paid social leads.

  • Instagram-led paid social
  • Webinars and AMA sessions with faculty and students

Build a channel partner network with rules

Instead of handing students to consultants who represent dozens of schools, we built referral partnerships with coaching centres, junior colleges and pre-med colleges, on non-exclusive agreements with approved claims, partner codes and a first-claim rule, so every partner represents the university the same way.

  • Institutional referral partners in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
  • Pre-med college partnership outreach in the United States
  • Prohibited-claims list and partner codes

Stand up an admissions desk

We designed the admissions process from first call to counselling to application, with named owners for each stage and counselling scripts in English, Hindi and Telugu so parents could ask their questions in their own language.

  • Defined admissions stages and owners
  • Trilingual counselling scripts and FAQs
  • One-on-one counselling with faculty doctors

Meet families in person

Open days in Hyderabad and Vijayawada in May 2026 put faculty and board members in front of students and parents, and a single college campus visit produced more applications than weeks of paid leads.

  • Open days with one-on-one slots
  • Campus visits with partner colleges

Fix tracking and plan the next year

A 2025 review diagnosed geo-targeting and tracking gaps. The 2026 plan adds source-to-admission tracking and replaces single-city US events with a state roadshow model.

  • CRM and tracking from lead source to admission
  • State-by-state roadshow plan for the US
Across the funnel

Every stage had a job. Here is what each one did.

Funnel build

We worked as the university's international marketing and admissions arm, building positioning, channel partnerships and the admissions flow from the ground up.

Top of funnel

Social campaigns, webinars, AMA sessions, open days and referrals from partner institutions.

Middle of funnel

Counselling calls in English, Hindi and Telugu, with structured follow-up for students and parents.

Bottom of funnel

Application, interview and offer, tracked back to the lead source.

Results. Measured the way the CFO measures them.

The university went from barely visible to a recognisable option with several ways for students to apply.

  • About 3,600% more visibility than before the engagement.
  • 2,872 leads from paid campaigns over five months in 2025, at a cost per lead of $3.03.
  • 500+ registrations and 78+ confirmed family conversations from two open days in Hyderabad and Vijayawada, May 2026.
  • 200+ applications from a single partner college campus visit.
  • A channel partner network of referring institutions, run on written rules rather than commission alone.
  • An admissions desk with trilingual counselling and defined stages from enquiry to application.
Lessons

What you can take from this. Even if you never hire us.

In admissions, marketing does not end at the enquiry

A lead that nobody calls back properly is wasted spend. Design the counselling flow and the feedback loop to admissions as part of the marketing work.

Time campaigns to the decision season

Families in India make medical education decisions around NEET results. Campaigns timed to that window reach them when the question is real.

Speak the family's language

Parents are part of the decision. Counselling in English, Hindi and Telugu removes friction that no ad creative can fix.
